The Savernake Forest Volunteer group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month to carry out various woodland management tasks. This might include haloing beneath the ancient trees (clering competing vegetation to maintain tree health), surveying local fauna and flora, coppicing, pond clearance and other practical tasks.
