A346 Postern Hill to Leigh Hill
Message from Forestry England
Forestry England started work on Monday 10th May to remove diseased ash trees along the A346 through Savernake Forest. The road will remain open with two-way traffic control in place.
Working in partnership with our ecologist and Natural England we have made significant adjustments to our operation to ensure minimal disruption to nesting birds in the area.
Only those trees that pose the highest risk to users of the A346 will be felled, where appropriate these will remain on the forest floor until such time as we can return later in the year to continue other necessary works.
