Joan Davies, former Chair of Savernake Parish Council, 10/09/32 - 26/12/22

We were very sorry to hear of the death of Joan Davies, who was a stalwart of the Savernake Parish Council for many years.

She was a councillor for over 40 years, 15 as clerk and Chair for over 25 years.

She was passionate about history and nature and particularly the ancient oaks in Savernake Forest, and very involved with the Friends of Savernake Hospital.

She left Marlborough in 2019, moving to Alton to be nearer to some of her family  until her death 31st on December 2022.
